The Riverside Avondale Historic District is a beautiful neighborhood with a distinctive architectural and cultural heritage. Our historic structures are complemented by an abundance of trees and shady parks. Shopping is convenient, with downtown and other points of interest only minutes away.

For nearly 30 years, Riverside Avondale Preservation has served the area as a civic improvement organization to insure the neighborhood’s special qualities are ehanced and preserved.Volunteer committees address current zoning, transportation and future planning issues in the neighborhood. The organization has played an important role in creating a positive image and fostering the neighborhood spirit that our area now enjoys.

Our organization’s vitality depends upon member participation and support through membership in RAP. We welcome any level of membership and encourage participation from every household and business in our neighborhood. The more involvement, the stronger and more able we are to serve the needs of ourcommunity.
